Ann Lewis, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, LMHC
Ann Lewis is an Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is trained to provide Psychiatric Medication management & Psychotherapy for individuals, couples, children, adolescents & families facing a wide range of problems. Her experience of more than 25 years as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and over 33 years as a Registered Nurse has helped her develop a deep understanding of the needs of adults, children & teens struggling with acute & chronic emotional, spiritual & medical problems. Ann has a seminary degree with theological training and & will draw on your faith to help lead you to healing & wholeness. Ann is trained in psychdynamic, EMDR, family systems, cognitive behavioral & interpersonal therapies. She has the ability to see clients in person or by confidential videoconference.
Ann is uniquely trained to approach her work in an integrated way, looking at and working with you as a whole person. She recognizes that health involves more than the relief of symptoms. It involves the balance of spiritual, psychological & physical dimensions of life. Niki Boyce, MS , LMHC
Niki holds a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Prior to joining our team she counseled college students at PBA University where she still teaches as an adjunct instructor in the psychology department.
Prior to counseling, Niki was an educator in Palm Beach County and subsequently ran a learning center. Her years of working with adolescents and families informed her decision to move into the counseling world. She has had extensive experience working with families dealing with ADHD, learning disabilities, and family conflict. Niki is a certified Couples Communication Counselor and Prepare/Enrich Counselor who loves helping couples. Additionally, Niki has direct experience in the field of substance abuse working with those in recovery as well as with family members of those struggling with addiction and children & adult children of alcoholics.
Niki has a heart for helping individuals, couples and families find peace, joy and fulfillment in life. She enjoys helping with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transition. Niki has a passion for running psycho-educational groups as well as therapy groups in the community. Please contact the center for information on current groups. Carol Lewis, L.M.F.T
Since 1986, Carol Lewis has been providing therapy to individuals, couples and families in Accredited Samatitan Institute Counseling Centers in South Florida. In addition to her education and training as a family therapist, Carol has worked in the field of codependency and addictions and she is well acquainted with 12-Step recovery. Her clients appreciate her warm and empathetic manner as well as her practical approach to healing and growth.
Carol Lewis works with children, adolescents and adults at the Lake Worth and Boynton Beach offices. She also leads classes in Active Parenting and Christian Meditation.

Rev. Dr. Dennis Vlassis, M.Div., D.Min.
Dennis Vlassis comes to the Community Christian Counseling Center with a wealth of wisdom gained first as ordained clergy serving as a hospital Chaplain, Pastoral Counselor and C.P.E. Supervisor. Then secondly, Dennis was the President and Chief Operating Officer for Gulf stream Builders Supply here in Palm Beach County. His combination of having the heart of a pastor and the wisdom of a businessman makes him a gifted leader for our organization.
Dennis received is BBA in 1975 from Stetson University, his Masters of Divinity in 1978 and his Doctor of Ministry in Psychology and Clinical Studies in 1979 both from Andover Newton Theological School. Dr. Steven Vensel, Ph.D., L.C.S.W.
Dr. Steven Vensel has served the South Florida community for over 30 years and has over 20-thousand hours of professional counseling and clinical training experience. He is a professor in the Graduate Counselor Education Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University and is the associate editor and co-author of "Mental Health and Mental Disorders: An Encyclopedia of Conditions, Treatments, and Well Being" (2016, publisher: ABC-Clio). Steve's research focuses on clergy and the workplace environment of the church and he provides both counseling and advocacy services to Pastors who work with high stress congregations, have experienced bullying, or been the target of abusive workplace behaviors.
Hayley Furlott, M.S., Registered Mental Health Intern
Hayley Furlott graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with Bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Religious Studies. She earned her Master'sDegree in Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and is a registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida.
Hayley is a Master's level clinician with 7 years of experience working with individuals and families in various clinical settings including schools, daycares, homes, community agencies and outpatient facilities. Although Hayley is trained to provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families of all age groups, she specializes in play-based, trauma-informed and dydactic therapies to children (ages 0-12),adolescents and their care givers.
Hayley's extensive training and knowledge of both child and adult mental health issues is reflected in her ability to effectively address a wide range of presenting concerns. Some areas of expertise include:
